The curious case of the missing Anicolor #crossmedia12

At IPEX I noticed that digital was taking up more of the space. Xerox was close to Heidelberg and showing a fairly well integrated workflow.

Now Cross Media Live has some actual print, but from Canon, Ricoh and Fuji. Maybe others but these are the ones I notice from the web site.

Previously as a London show there was Digital Print World. I have found a link that shows what this was like

I can't remember the date when the name changed to something that included litho and Heidelberg was there. This is only a blog, I will do more checking before a report towards the end of next week. I don't think the Heidelberg stand was that big, just enough for a large device. I don't see why they could not be at a show like Cross Media Live and talk about short runs, even without kit.

Also  this article mentions PIRA and the BPIF. I can't see them on the website but they may be at the event.

Heidelberg has cancelled a stand at the next IPEX, but not at drupa 2016. The internet moves quite quickly and Cross Media is now part of it. Next week could indicate a changed situation.

Also mentioned in the article, the London College of Communications Futures Conference. Unfortunately this is not timed to coincide with Cross Media 2012 but I predict it will happen soon after the start of the new term.
