This fortnight, #greenmanExeter #IPEX14 #TEDxExeter

Things are speeding up so this is a note about the fortnight. Green Man expected in Exeter this Thursday. IPEX starts next weekend, then back in Exeter for localised version of TED. Wild Show next week may have space for some print related content. This week is #greenman Exeter special so we will go walkabout and phone in.

Chat show format seems to work as links emerge from various elements. Green Man in Exeter may relate to climate change. So far the versions of TED in Exeter have had a strong environmental theme. Also the first MOOC from Exeter University on Futurelearn was about climate change. Some of this is public on YouTube and there may be another one.

IPEX and Cross Media have not a lot scheduled on sound but I still think video will have a large part in the social media around them. Sound is crucial for video so has to be a concern. Still not clear how much of what we create in Exeter cafes will be accepted in the studio. But we may record some to improve and use later. Also on Saturday this week is the Analogue to Digital event in Exeter. There may be a sub theme on desktop to mobile.

Surprise this week is that there is a follow up to the Learning Design MOOC. Starts next week same as IPEX so I can't put much time to it. But my idea for a course on Creative Commons and YouTube edits is still valid. My support group around the Wild Show is still there but things move very slowly. JD has closed down Windows XP ahead of the deadline and now mostly works from his Hudl. We can't find the option to choose Creative Commons on the Advanced tab. This topic could get out of proportion.

IPEX still the main event, but the context for Cross Media fits with a lot else.
